Museum goers walk through a 400-year-old Indian village, populated by 51 life-like figures and a dozen wigwams, to witness one of the world's largest single indoor exhibits, complete with the sights, sounds and even smells of daily life.
Dozens of life-size exhibits trace 18,000 years of Native and natural history. The latest technology, 3D Computer inter-actives and more than a dozen dramatic films, a full schedule of events, changing exhibits, live performances, cultural demonstrations, workshops and lectures are featured year round.
The Center also houses a Research Center, including archives and collections, and two libraries, one for children, which are open to the public free of charge Monday through Friday.
