Gates open at 1 p.m. Bring a chair and tailgate on the side of the field beneath Sleeping Giant State Park. Matches are open to the public, and a donation of $5 per person, or $10 per carload is suggested.
Held at Sleeping Giant State Park, 640 Tuttle Ave. Hamden. Free parking.

Spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon watching polo in the shadow of Giant Giant State Park. You will see thoroughbreds with amazing bloodlines, such as Big Feathers whose Great grand sire was the great Secretariat.
Gates open at 1:00. Bring a picnic or tailgate. Polo begins at 3:00 p.m. There is no admission fee; donations are optional. Parking is free. Just follow the signs to the parking area.
Dress is very casual. Come when you can and leave when you have to.
Giant Valley Polo Club just north of Sleeping Giant State Park. Stay on Whitney Avenue. Tuttle Avenue is closed, so follow the Tuttle Avenue detour signs. You'll also see our POLO TODAY signs. Take a right from Whitney onto River Road, then a left onto Tuttle Avenue. Follow the POLO TODAY signs.
Children are most welcome. Pets on a leash, please.
